Jornada de Sensibilización en el “Día Internacional de Lucha contra el Sida”

En el marco del Día Internacional de Lucha contra el Sida que se conmemora cada 1° de diciembre, la Secretaría de Desarrollo Humano y Salud de la Municipalidad junto al Servicio de Infectología del Hospital Felipe Heras y la Filial Concordia de la Cruz Roja, organizan diversas actividades de promoción y sensibilización ante el VIH.

Al respecto Inmaculada Soto Denis, directora de Gestión Preventiva y Promoción, que depende de la Secretaría de Desarrollo Humano y Salud, señaló que “éste es el resultado de un nuevo trabajo conjunto entre distintas áreas de la Municipalidad y Salud de la Provincia, que ante problemáticas como éstas la mejor forma de abordarlas es a partir de la articulación, como lo indica el intendente Enrique Cresto».

Soto Denis informó que las actividades a realizarse el sábado 1° de diciembre, comenzarán a las 8 de la mañana con testeos rápidos y convencionales a cargo del Servicio de Infectología y de la Cruz Roja, continuando a las 13 horas a cargo del área de Epidemeología.

El programa de actividades sigue a las 18:30 horas con un Té a beneficio de instituciones de Salud donde hará entrega de certificados a Preventores de VIH como así también reconocimiento a personas comprometidas con la problemática de VIH y que han contribuido a la difusión, sensibilización, prevención y atención. A la misma hora, se larga la Maratón “Sensibilización VIH”.

Por su parte la Dra. Florencia Prieto, a cargo del Servicio de Infectología del Hospital Felipe Heras, manifestó que “vamos a estar haciendo promoción, prevención y testeos, explicándoles a la comunidad en qué consisten, para que sirven, en qué condiciones se los deben hacer o cuantas veces deben hacerlo. Todas las dudas que la gente tenga, se las podrá sacar ese día” agregando que si la persona accede, se hará una extracción de sangre para análisis de sífilis y gonorrea “ya que ha habido casos a nivel nacional y por lo tanto sería importante saber cuál es la situación de Concordia en ese sentido”.

A esto el Bioquímico Julio Quintana, del área de Epidemiología de la Secretaría de Desarrollo Humano y Salud y su par Juan Galarza, de la Cruz Roja Filial Concordia e integrante del equipo del Laboratorio del Hospital Felipe Heras, añadieron que “lo de los testeos es una modalidad medianamente nueva en la ciudad, de hecho desde marzo hasta octubre se han hecho unos 1500 test y la idea es acercar esta posibilidad a la comunidad que por ahí, por una cuestión hasta de tabú, no llega a un centro asistencial a realizárselo”.

La Jornada culminará con la Maratón “Sensibilización VIH” que se organiza junto a la Secretaría de Deportes. Su titular, Marcelo Cresto, remarcó que “es una prueba de 7 km, competitiva y una distancia de 3 km, corre-caminata, por lo que invitamos a todos a que se sumen porque más allá de los deportivo, es una oportunidad de generar concienza en la gente”.

La largada y llegada es en la Plaza 25 de Mayo y las inscripciones se realizan en la Secretaría de Deportes, en el horario de 7 a 13 horas y de 17 a 20 horas. El valor de inscripción es de 150 pesos.
